WordPress Plugin for Google AdSense Video Units

Last week, when Google launched Video Units as part of AdSense, I was excited to try them out. Then I attempted to post the code on my WordPress blog and the video did not display.

I later found out that the reason here was that WordPress applies a JavaScript remover filter to posts. So AdSense, which uses JavaScript, does not display correctly. This can be fixed by using a plugin called Script Enabler.

I’m sure there are plenty of others, but I mention this one, because it’s the one I’m using.

Thanks to loxly for sharing the plugin on Twitter.

Personally, I think Google ought to explain this fix in their AdSense FAQ or blog, or provide their own plugin for the WordPress bloggers out there.

Anyhow, here is the Google AdSense Video Unit:

great post. I stumbled this. I was excited to see the adsense video units, but the problems with inserting the units in a post had me using the plugin on static pages, which generally don’t get alot of traffic.
