Why Did I Gain a Pound? Maybe the Ziti and Cannoli

by on April 8, 2009

And the affiliate fatblogging roller coaster moves on… I spent much of Sunday at a friend’s house for a party – a crazy spread of homemade ziti, sausages, meatballs, fresh bread, filet mignon on the grill, and more.

We were out in the sun, so there were plenty of beers, of course.

That was followed by all sorts of Italian pastries and cookies, cakes, and anything else sweet that I love to devour.

And this was before the Cannoli came out

While I’d like to say I merely drolled at this stuff and had a salad, in reality I enjoyed all this food like crazy. You’ve got to take a break from the healthy stuff sometimes, right?

I’d rather slowly lose the weight over time and live a regular lifestyle than drop it all quick with eating habits I know I won’t sustain in the long run.

And I’ve got Easter and opening day for the Yankees in the next couple weeks. :)

Anyhow, I was up one pound from the previous week. But I’ve vowed to myself that it turns around with this week. I went for a long walk after the party, and will be in the gym or exercising outside each day through Saturday.

Oh, and one important thing to note – you won’t be able to see the affiliate fatblogging video on Revver this week (you can still see it on YouTube). The reason it isn’t on Revver is that I got an email today that it was rejected due to “hateful content”.

Fatblogging as hate speech?

Maybe they thought my comment about gaining a pound was self-loathing, and they didn’t want to support that hate? Who knows?!

One last thing… a shout out to Tim Jones, who is accepting the Affiliate Fatblogging Challenge. We’re going to figure out some kind of battle of the bulge and have a bet with the winnings going to a charity.

Anybody else interested?

It’s incomprehensible to me that they made you take the video down. Maybe they read the title, thought it sounded sarcastic and mocking, and didn’t bother to watch the video? Weird.
