Who Wants to be an Affiliate Manager?

by on April 1, 2009

Jason Rubacky, who runs the affiliate program for Football Fanatics, has decided to move on, so they’re looking for a new affiliate manager over there.

Now, before a bunch of other people ask to have their job openings promoted, let me just say I thought it was interesting that Jason and Football Fanatics are leveraging social media with the search being conducted with the help of Twitter and YouTube.

They are also reaching out on the Football Fanatics forum on ABestWeb and LinkedIn.

I think this is an interesting approach, rather than relying on the job classifieds sites. If you’ve got an affiliate marketing position, put it out there in front of affiliate marketers.

Speaking of Twitter and jobs, check out the positions currently listed on Twitter Job Search with affiliate in them.

More details on the Football Fanatics position at LinkedIn.

UPDATE

Jason Rubacky has joined the ShareASale team – there is a thread on ABestWeb about Jason joining SAS.

Jason,

Thank you so much for reaching out to me and handling this issue for me. As you could tell, I was frustrated for a very long time. The items on Football Fanatics are so wonderful that I hoped this issue could be resolved, and it has. Whew!

Man, sorry to see you leaving but I wish you all the best. It’s gonna be tough finding a replacement. Best of Lucl

I liked the video as it gave credibility with Jason Rubacky as the host. It’s rare to see an employer use social media for this and also to have the current employee do the video. Football Fanatics appears to be a cool company to work for and should be an interesting job. Good luck Jason

Mitch,
I assure you that every single email, phone call etc.. that I receive is handled. I’m not sure where your “letter” was sent but if you contact me directly I will be more than happy to look into your situation.

Thanks!

Well, if this guy’s leaving, that probably explains why they haven’t given me credit for sales from last month, or even gotten back to me on my letter to them asking why.

Yeah, you could say I’m presently displeased.

Really cool video, and the job looks great too. Neat idea to do a video.
