The latest JangroCast from Scott Jangro touches on sites by seemingly anonymous people who lash out with personal attacks.
There was a guy earlier this week going by the name Marky Zarc, and he posted comments on a number of blogs and included this URL in the comments: lorenfeldman.blogspot.com (it’s dead now).
Essentially, the site was an attack on Gary Vaynerchuk, Jim Kukral, Loren Feldman, Sam Harrelson, Scott Jangro, and myself.
I am not sure of the goal of “Marky Zarc,” but it seems he has some anger issues and decided to vent by attempting to damage the brands of his targets.
Constructive criticism and jokes are cool - mean spirited attacks and trying to malign people’s businesses are not cool.
Anyhow, it’s funny how some folks feel empowered when they think they are anonymous.
The trouble is that there are often lots of footprints and fingerprints left behind on the Internet.
And yes, Mr. Zarc, we figured out your identity.
The EPC for your affiliate program on CJ is pretty bad. Down 50% over the past year.
I’d imagine your boss would want you to focus on fixing your affiliate program, rather than creating hate sites on company time.
