Twitter Contest: Chance to Win a Free Pass to Affiliate Summit
Thanks for visiting the Affiliate Tip blog. Subscribe to my RSS feed or enter your e-mail on the top left to get updates by e-mail.
We’re less than two months away from Affiliate Summit West 2009, taking place January 11-13, 2009 in Las Vegas, and we’re kicking off a new contest to win a free Platinum pass to the conference.
In order to enter, you must do the following:
- Post to Twitter with the Twitter name of somebody you want to meet at Affiliate Summit and tell them why
- Include #asw09 in your Tweet
How can you find out who is going to be at Affiliate Summit and also is on Twitter? Well, you can look at the Affiliate Summit agenda and see who is speaking at the conference.
If you’re not currently following speakers and don’t know their Twitter name, you could try finding them by searching Google for their name and the word Twitter.
For instance, search Gary Vaynerchuk (he’s the keynote speaker for the conference) and Twitter on Google and the first result is his Twitter address: http://twitter.com/garyvee
You could also use Twitter search and submit a query for Affiliate Summit or affsum. You’ll see Tweets from people who are talking about Affiliate Summit on Twitter.
Here is an example of an entry you might submit:
@jimkukral I want to meet you at Affiliate Summit to learn more about thebizwebcoach.com – may I buy you a drink? #asw09
Every Monday through January 5, we will pick a winner and notify them via Twitter. Only entries submitted the Monday through Sunday leading up to each Monday will be eligible for that week.
Winners are picked by the Affiliate Summit team and all decisions are final.
And I’m not saying it will help your chances, but you should be following @affiliatesummit on Twitter to stay in the loop.
For anyone interested there is a cash prize contest of $250.00 open to everyone at:

The rules and submission rules posted at http://www.arnoldhernandez.com/contest.php
The odds it seems to me are better than one in 1,000, because you are allowed to submit three essays and they only accept a maximum of 1,000 entries.
Was there a winner for last week? I love seeing people win prizes!!
