Twitter as an Affiliate Network Support Tool

by on February 6, 2009

I mentioned the other day on the Cast of Geeks podcast that I posted a message to Twitter to @clickbank to let them know somebody was repeatedly spamming me about an offer.

At the time, I was glad that they had responded quickly and courteously about the matter.

And then I was happily surprised that they followed up later that day via Twitter and more elaborately with an email to confirm that they’d handled the issue.

Here is a quick recap of the complaint and response on Twitter.

ClickBank solves the problem

Shawn thanks ClickBank for the quality service

Other affiliate networks should take note – ClickBank is doing a nice job leveraging Twitter to assist affiliates, and their fast, efficient support is out there for other affiliates to see.

Hi,

Twitter can be also a channel for both merchants to recruit potential affiliates by promoting their programs and the affiliates to search and monitor affiliate programs. Twitter makes this more easy by twilert or tweet later.

Thanks shawn for your high quality content!

Definitely – we had an article in issue 4 of FeedFront magazine about how Target.com is using Twitter with affiliates.

Yep, exactly.

Glad to see Linkshare and ShareASale actively using Twitter for this sort of thing as well.

Still no word from Cj, tho…
