I took a preliminary look at the Top Affiliate Challenge show and reviewed it a couple of weeks back.
At the time, I’d watched the first two episodes, and I didn’t find much value in it.
Since then, I’ve watched episodes 3-9 to see if/how the show evolved.
The tips for affiliates did start turning up in episode 3, and I think it’s worthwhile for affiliate newbies to check it out.
However, episode 5 featured some “advice” from team leader John Chow on how to cheat Google, MSN and Yahoo.
Now, I understand that plenty of bottom feeders do this sort of thing, but I think it was a bad move to promote such a method.
Otherwise, there is some pretty good, basic information in the show for people getting into working with CPA networks.

yea chow…that was pretty low….considering eeeeveryone is doing it.
That's like selling people's email and personal data for a buck or two….jeesh.
what a bottom feeeder!
reply to this commentThat's certainly not something everybody is doing. There will always be some who can rationalize their cheating, though. Sad.
reply to this commentgrowing up my parents owned a construction company and as i was growing i remember the stress they dealt with on different jobs and dealing with different companies.
now that i am older they own a very successful commercial constuction company that builds chain retail stores and restaurants all along the east and southern coast.
i asked her a short time back what did they learn that made all the difference and made things different? Her first and very sincere response was…”what rules to bend, what rules to break, and that everybody that acts like saints is full of sh@$!”
reply to this commentThat's a nice lesson, but the relevance here?
I never claimed to be a saint, but I also don't condone cheating with a wink and a smile.
reply to this commentcmon now where's the relevance…you could sit down and share your practices with gaggle and they would pat you on the back and say thanks for keeping it honest?
reply to this commentActually, yes. If I inadvertently broke any terms and found out about it, I'd correct it.
Do you see something here that appears to be a violation?
reply to this commentwell then sir…you are a fair man. maybe nice guys can finish first afterall.
reply to this commentHi Shawn,
reply to this commentAside from questionable morality, cheating the system is a very shortsighted business plan. You can cheat the system and win in the short term, but in the long term, you will lose.
