Think Partnership has announced that they will now be doing business as Kowabunga!.

Kowabunga!Think Partnership acquired KowaBunga! Marketing back in March 2005.

“We have chosen the name Kowabunga! as our overall company name to emphasize the excitement of our brand value,” said Scott P. Mitchell, president and CEO of the new Kowabunga!. We believe the Kowabunga! name reflects our enthusiasm in offering the marketplace unsurpassed technology for performance-based advertising, supported by a unique corporate culture with far-reaching and ambitious plans for the future. The recently reported surge in our new ValidClick AdExchange is only one of the ‘big waves’ we are now riding.”

The company’s American Exchange stock trading symbol, “THK,” will remain unchanged until further notice, according to the press release.

Sorry guys, the Affiliate Summit conference program already went to print, so we’ll have you as Think Partnership in there.

That reminds me of the news that broke shortly after my book, “Successful Affiliate Marketing for Merchants,” went to print back in 2001. When I was writing it, DoubleClick Performics was known as Dynamic Trade. So I used the then current name many times in the manuscript.

As soon as the ink was hitting the paper, the announcement came out that Dynamic Trade was changing their name to Performics. I still get an occasional email asking whatever happened to Dynamic Trade.

  1. Paul G Says:

So what’s going to get the stock price headed North? No one has the technology that THK does. Msft & Yhoo are both integral parts of the business. Can’t believe the stock price doesn’t reflect this.

  2. Ralph Thornton Says:

agreed paul, but unfortunately share prices don’t always reflect the technology behind the company

  3. Anonymous Says:

hey guys, it’s alllll about financial management - too much debt and craziness

  4. Greg Hoffman Says:

It’s all about the technology. If they build it, they will come. And they are building it. Trust me…

  5. Victor Caballero Says:

Glad they changed the name. Good move. Now focus on making some money and driving the stock price up. At least to $3!
