Target Last Minute Shoppers with Gift Cards

by on December 14, 2008

One of the most important days in the affiliate Christmas cycle is when retailers stop guaranteeing delivery in time for Christmas.

According to a newsletter I got yesterday from LinkShare, December 20 is the “When It Absolutely, Positively, Needs to Be There” Last Ship Date this year.

And the National Retail Federation put out a release stating most standard shipping offers for Christmas delivery expire on or before December 19, based on a survey from Shop.org and Shopzilla.

So affiliates ought to be getting gift card promotions together for the end of this week.

Be sure to note to customers, when applicable, that gift cards can often be given via email for immediate delivery, as well as printed on their own printer for a last second gift in person.

The gift card offers have been finding me – I belong to quite a few affiliate programs, and a good share of them have sent me emails re: gift cards.

If you're not getting such emails, I'd suggest checking whether gift card creative is available in the affiliate programs you've joined.
