SmugMug has joined Flickr in being a photo hosting site that now hosts video, too.

According to their announcement to affiliates…

The Power and Pro accounts at SmugMug now allow customers to upload, store and share Unlimited Video clips!!

Power account allows for 2 1/5 min clips.

Pro account allows for up to 10 min clips.

Flickr videos are limited to 90 seconds and 150MB in size, and can only be uploaded by Flickr users with Pro accounts, which run $24.95 per year.

The Power account on SmugMug is $59.95 a year and the Pro account is $149.95 a year.

If the SmugMug quality (I can’t find a live example) is in a league with Flickr video, I’d say that Pro account is worth it for any affiliate that is creating longer videos to embed on their sites.

Looks Like SmugMug is the clear winner over Flickr.
Nice to finally have a place to share video's with family
without having to go the Youtube route.
