ShareASale has rolled out a new feature, the License Plate Link, where affiliates can create shortened custom URLs for affiliate links to be used in a social media environment.
License Plate Links include an optional “SocialBar”, which makes it easy for anyone viewing your link to share it with their friends via social media outlets and email.
The new link takes on the form of http://shrsl.com/?~4h (click it to see an example), so it is nice and short for social media use.
Setting up the License Plate Links is easy – see below for an example of a link I set up. In my example, I included the SocialBar feature to add to the functionality with sharing options.

This is a great idea.
Su.pr does something similar, but I believe readers can only share the link on Stumbleupon.
I haven’t checked out the sharesale blog yet, but I would imagine the readers of your shortened link can share it with a variety of social networks.
Why didn’t I think of that?
