Big day today. Seth Godin came over to my house. Well, not the real Seth Godin, but rather the Seth Godin Marketing Guru Action Figure.
I was thrilled to have this new action figure, but there was one problem. The packaging indicated that it was not suitable for children under 36 months.
I am not sure how I will break it to my one year old son. Then again, I also see that it was Made in China, and I don’t really want to risk giving him lead poisoning.
Anyhow, I went on some adventures with my new Seth Godin doll.
First, we headed in a time machine to Le Web, where Seth confronted Jason Calacanis.
Then we headed back to my place to discuss his new book, “Meatball Sundae: Is Your Marketing out of Sync?.”
We also talked about the Free Prize Inside that came with the action figure. It was a monkey wearing a Big Red Fez, plus “The Little Book of Marketing Secrets” with 12 short tips. It was the first book I ever read in les than a minute.
When the business was out of the way, I introduced Seth to my dog and three daughters. They were all nonplussed by his marketing magic.
Thanks for stopping by, Seth.

I sure wish this had been available before the holidays - I know 9 people that would have been pleased as punch to get a copy as a gift while I kept the tenth and the Super Happy Fun Seth Godin Power Ranger.

What better way to chill than on the top of a cold beer!
Sweet!

Shawn,
I was catching up on reading your blog and found your post about Seth Godin’s doll.
I really like the idea! It makes you wonder what else you can do to market yourself, brand, business or products.
I am looking forward to meeting you at Affiliate Summit.
