A couple or three weeks ago, ShoeMoney reported that a CPA Empire affiliate was involved in some questionable behavior in the promotion of mobile phone ringtones.
On Wednesday, March 7th at 12:00 noon EDT, Affiliate Thing welcomes Media Breakaway President and General Counsel, Steven Richter to discuss the ringtone issues recently experienced by CPA Empire (a division of Media Breakaway) with Lisa Picarille and myself.
Speaking of ringtones, I shared some information last month over at ThreadWatch.org about an investigation into the subject.
I mentioned how the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Florida was in the process of knocking on doors in search of shady affiliate marketers.
That lead to allegations that I was marketing ringtones, and that the news I’d broken was “link bate gone wrong”, “self promotional”, and that it was “just not true”, because I had “made it all up.”
