by on August 12, 2009

Peter Shankman, Founder & CEO of The Geek Factory (Twitter @skydiver), delivered the keynote address at Affiliate Summit East 2009 in New York City on August 11, 2009.

The keynote was streamed on Ustream.tv and can be viewed at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1965661.

Chris Brogan and Julien Smith, Co-authors of the upcoming book, “Trust Agents,” gave the keynote on the previous day. Unfortunately, there was a problem with audio for part of the live stream.

Both keynotes will be posted soon in high quality.

I didn’t watch it live and it’s a good thing I didn’t because I laughed so hard watching on Ustream last night that we had to pause it. Peter teaches as he entertains. We laugh because we know he is right, he makes us realize there is a whole generation already that doesn’t know about the beginning of the internet. His insights are valuable and I encourage anyone that wasn’t in attendance to watch this keynote. On a big screen, with good sound. :)

Maybe the best AS keynote for me yet. Loved it.

@Mike Wayne:
Hey Mike – yeah, Peter had me laughing throughout the keynote, and lots of good insight.

I am going to have to watch it again for anything I might have missed.

This keynote was priceless…. both informative and entertaining. I walked away with some great jewels of knowledge, as well as some hilarious zingers such as “The average age of the nightly news watcher is dead.” to “Social media is the ability to screw up to a much larger audience in a shorter amount if time” =)

Looking forward to seeing more great keynotes from Peter and getting ready to Help A Reporter Out!
