Outsourcing Design Work at 99designs

We keep things lean and mean at Affiliate Summit, and then outsource projects and tasks that are above our pay grades.

One of the areas where we frequently outsource is for design work, and we’ve been happy with 99designs.

Just recently, we decided to create an ad for Affiliate Summit West 2013 to run in FeedFront Magazine.

It was a quick and easy process where I came up with some copy, purchased some stock art, and posted it all to 99designs.

A few days later, we had an ad we liked, and it’s running in the current FeedFront magazine.

About a month ago, we decided we wanted a pricing table to feature on the Affiliate Summit homepage to clearly explain the benefits of each conference pass.

We also sourced this through 99designs and were pleased with the results.

In both cases, we ran blind contests, where the folks entering cannot see the other entries. This was so people would not be influenced by existing entries.

It was great to see where people went with the concept.

If you haven’t tried it out, I’d highly suggest checking into 99designs for logos, banners, magazine ads, etc.
