I’ve been using Google Alerts for quite some time to monitor announcements and opinions of merchants, so I can track trends and leverage breaking news.
I also use Google Alerts to track what’s being said about my company and my competitors. It’s a great service for the price (free), but it’s limited to Google and delivered by email.
Enter Trackur, a new online reputation monitoring tool from online reputation management expert Andy Beal.
According to the Trackur site, they scan hundreds of millions of content sources, including news, blogs, video, images, and forums for specified keywords.
Trackur also just announced the addition of personalized social media trending charts.
I’m going to try this out as an enhancement of my own reputation monitoring efforts, as well as to keep an eye on competitors and merchants I promote as an affiliate.
