Q: I’ve been searching around for affiliate programs to monetize a .mobi address, but I haven’t found any. I know about AdMob, but how about something with a revenue share, like selling concert tickets?
A: Unfortunately, outside of AdMob, which I use myself through the mobile plugin for WordPress to make a mobile version of my blog, the only other option on my radar is Google AdSense for Mobile.
However, that doesn’t solve your problem, because it is also based on clicks.
I am not aware of any of the affiliate networks doing anything currently, and I’d love to hear from them if I missed anything.

It’s done.
Our Affiliate Network “belboon” [belboon.com] offers now real mobile affiliate marketing.
The heart of our mobile-system is our high-end mobile adserver that is able to identify more than 4.500 mobile devices and delivers the MobileAds well-sized for each display. And of course the mobile tracking engine recommends the speciallities of mobile devices.
At the moment we’re setting up more and more mobile affiliate programs for Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Merchants/Advertiser of other countries are welcome (our network supports german and english at the moment and any currency of the world).
Right now are next to more than 250 online affiliate marketing programs the following mobile affiliate marketing programs available:
- Jamba (Jamster) Germany
wap.jamba.de
- Shop-Apotheke.de (a online/mobile pharmacy)
wap.shop-apotheke.com
- yoc.de (a online/mobile community)
yoc.mobi
shortly available will be mobile affiliate programs for:
- mobile.quelle.de (a retailer)
- Jamba (Jamster) Netherlands
- Jamba (Jamster) Belgium
and many more.
If you have any question regarding mobile affiliate marketing, how to promote or set up mobile affiliate programs don’t hesitate to contact me.

Shawn,
Here are some thoughts on what you could do.
1. Monetize any content on your site by integrating with the Bango payment platform and sell your content world-wide. You can sign up for the Starter service for free to test out the system. If you like what you find, then move up to the Starter Plus package and earn a higher payout rate. more at http://www.bango.com/payment.
2. Or if you know other .mobi owners then why not earn money any time you send Bango a customer who signs up to monetize their mobile content or analyze the visitors to their .mobi. More on the Bango referrals program at http://www.bango.com/referrals
You can seek out affiliate partners who offer telephone tracking, then simply embed the phone number to direct dial an order in. Most handhelds will recognize a phone number (and you can also code it) so that the number gets dialed if clicks.

Dear Shawn,
with our affiliate network “belboon” were starting within this month offering mobile affiliate marketing for merchants (advertiser) and affiliates (publisher). Our mobile adserver are able to detect the mobile devices and software-versions a user uses and do deliver the right rendered ads for their displays.
With this technology were able to track any CpX-affiliate-programm as it is possible online.
This month there will be some german mobile affiliate programms available but we also work on getting some international mobile affiliate programms live within short terms.
For more information, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Cheers,
Manuel Kester
Hi Shawn,
There is one other mobile affiliate program that just sprung up last month. It is a mobile analytics tool called Mobilytics (http://www.mobilytics.net/).
They have one revenue plan:
If you have more than 10,000 pager views per month, the service will be free and they pay you 70% of all their revenue. If you don’t get the required page views, you pay them either $20/$40 per month depending on your plan.
Take care,

It’s an interesting looking opportunity, but I’m content being an affiliate, blogger, and keeping with Affiliate Summit.
That leaves about 4 hours a day for sleeping.
Hey Shawn, there is an untapped market. Maybe you should build one using the information from your Affiliate Manager Boot Camp DVD.
