Microsoft Affiliate Network Beta

by on May 18, 2007

I read about the launch of the Microsoft Affiliate Network over at Mike Allen’s blog on ReveNews yesterday.

Interesting stuff – according to Mike, who received an invite to join the affiliate program…

This network, which “exclusively encompasses all the Microsoft premier affiliate opportunities,” launched today and is built on a customized version of Kowabunga’s MyAP v9 affiliate tracking and management technology.

The rumor mill has already started over whether Microsoft is interested in acquiring KowaBunga/Kolimbo from Think Partnership. If that were to happen, I’d appreciate if all parties involved would issue the press release at Affiliate Summit. ;-)

The affiliate program is by invitation only, but you can get more details and submit an application at http://www.microsoftaffiliates.net/.

I applied last night and got an auto-reply that they will be reviewing my application and will get back to me within 1-2 business days.

What’s the payout?

I was wondering why you would ask that when it’s generally very easy information to find on an affiliate program.

Then I went to the page with info about the program and didn’t see it. Nor did I find it in the FAQ.

Logged into my account and also was unable to get an answer.

Either I am blind or it’s just not posted anywhere.

Very cool, I just applied! On another note, ThinkPartnership stock is up 20% today! :P

Yeah, just one offer for Windows Live OneCare — I was expecting at least a few participants. Oh well, it’s a beat and we got a sneak peak.

That was quick – I was manually accepted into their program in less than 12 hours.
