BuyTV, the popular Internet show for tech-savvy shoppers, is making the leap to broadcast television. The half-hour, weekly series will begin airing this Sunday, October 21st at 11:30 a.m.
First launched online last year at Buy.com and through distribution partners, including iTunes and YouTube, BuyTV is co-hosted by Melissa Salas.
Melissa is the Director of Marketing for Buy.com. She joined Buy.com in 2000, and manages Buy.com’s marketing campaigns with Portals and Shopping Comparison sites, as well as Buy.com’s Affiliate Program.
BuyTV will initially be available to more than 5.6 million households in Southern California through Time Warner Cable, Cox Cable, DirecTV/ EchoStar/ Dish Network, and other providers.
Developed at Buy.com’s dedicated in-house studio, BuyTV was the first interactive shopping program to be filmed entirely in high-definition. Since its inception, BuyTV segments have been streamed more than 8 million times from Buy.com, and nearly a quarter million times from YouTube.
Past shows have included guests such as musicians Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, FUEL and Scorpions, relationship expert Lauren Frances, as well as representatives from Canon, HP, Microsoft, Samsung and other technology manufacturers.

Melissa is hot…and she speaks eloquently. not your typical bubble brained product model. I heard she was too smart for Price is Right.
