LinkConnector has launched the LinkConnector Widget, a customizable tool that can adapt to the content of an affiliate website with merchant product feed selection, custom coloring/sizing, keyword limiting, and user-defined search.
The new widget enables affiliates to convert their merchant product feeds into a dynamic application.
“We are very excited about our new widget technology as it provides a simple way for affiliates to promote our merchant offers.
Right now the widget (version 1) provides an affiliate with the ability to promote merchant products dynamically as it accesses our merchant product feeds in real-time and displays the products on the affiliate’s site.
Like other networks, we have had functionality for dynamic display of products for awhile (our dynamic creatives), but not with the tailoring capabilities of our widget.
An affiliate can tailor their widget to the size, color, and functionality that fits with their site,” stated Ernie St. Gelais, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of LinkConnector.
In the future, LinkConnector plans to allow for the display of all the content they have from merchants (RSS feeds, coupon feeds, link creatives, images, etc.) using the technology, according to St. Gelais.
In addition to the introduction of a neat looking option for affiliates, this is also an opportunity for more folks to try out affiliate marketing.
The widget will soon be listed on widget directories, which will get it in front of bloggers and social networkers that might not yet be acquainted with affiliate marketing.
