I wondered aloud the other day, Is Jim Kukral Killing Twitter?, and he had a strong chorus of defenders (who all seemed to have won money from the TwitterMeThis scheme).
So, I did a little research and came up with some very telling remarks Mr. Kukral previously posted on his blog. I submit them into evidence for your consideration.
Still think TwitterMeThis is a harmless game?
Also, I see that Jim just posted a comment at TrishaLyn.com about how he doubts he will participate in the GeekCast shows anymore.
Check your spam filter, Jim. We emailed you last night to let you know you were being replaced.
Anybody interested in joining the new, Jim-free GeekCast?

Every time you comment, you are outraged that I express an opinion, and top it with your opinions of me.
You are such a cute, little, ironic troll.
lol, if this is not link bait then you are an idiot! why in the F would you get so mad that you would ruin a friendship over something that is not making you or him money? If Jim is not breaking the twitter TOS wtf business is it of yours to bitch about it? the only thing you are doing is making yourself look like a horses ass and giving him free publicity.
I’m not in this to promote any site. I’m just disappointed in Jim for developing such a lame “experiment” and wanted to let my displeasure be known.
I guess a platform like Twitter (or now GeekCast) isn’t useful to Jim unless he can game it or make it a pure marketing vehicle… which is a shame.
Sam
Hmm, I call shennanigans!
I’ve been wondering for days, now, if this is just some elaborate hoax or if the three of you really are that immature. Some part of me just does not want to believe it. For now I’ll just sit back and watch.
I think it’s a joke; at least that’s what I hope. If it is, it would’ve been a nice one for April 1st.
I agree with you Andrew. I can’t tell if this is real or not anymore. If it is real, there must be a lot more going on between these guys than just a trivia game.
I think it is different than the make money online blogs since Jim is either paying too much for junk leads or not making money at all.
Doh…
With the banter on Geekcast, it’s hard to tell if this is for real…
I don’t think, but with the “anti-make money online” type sentiments expressed by Jim on Geekcast and the Daily Flip, I am not sure how TwitterMeThis is all that different from that.
IMO this is a storm in a teacup that will blow over…
Else how is the Dream Team gonna win the championships at ASE?
Yup, that’s it. You all just lost another subscriber.
Grow up Shawn. Get on with whatever it is you actually do these days.
I need to agree with Jason on this one. I read ‘Is Jim Kukral Killing Twitter?‘ the other day and although you had a difference of opinion, at least the arguments from yourself and Sam were explained well and you both gave valid points without childish tactics like this.
For the record, I’m a big fan of Jim’s and enjopy reading his blog (and watching his videos) and I’m a subscriber here too however I would probably be more on your side in the respect that this kind of thing isnt good for twitter (nor is Andrew Baron trying to sell his twitter account on ebay).
However, I think this has been blown way out of proportion. All Jim has done has shown that twitter can be used in this way to promote yourself. It’s not a method I would use and I don’t think its good for twitter but this response seems a bit childish in my opinion.
I really am surprised at how many people Jim has pissed off with this project!
Wow, this has gone from 8th grade to 5th grade.
Are you kidding? Dude, you need to stick to professional opinion and news on AFFILIATE MARKETING, not your personal spats with other people in the online marketing world.
This little spat has made me lose a lot of respect for both you and Sam Harrelson.
Grow up.
Aww bummer. I never won any money from the trivia I just don’t think it’s as poisonous as you & Sam do, that’s all.
And I’m bummed that there’d be no Jim in GeekCasts. But I can’t front, do what you have to with it… I’ll still listen.
