The May/June 2007 issue of Revenue magazine is now hitting subscriber’s mailboxes and newsstands.

The theme for this issue is Web 2.0: the next generation offers real results to marketers looking to gain more control of their message. Other articles cover the beauty of no borders in affiliate marketing, managing your reputation online, and a feature on Todd Crawford of oneNetworkDirect.

Some other items covered in the latest issue of Revenue magazine include profiles of affiliate Billy K, SEO wizard Wil Reynolds in the Hot Seat, and regular features by Mike Moran (search), Rosalind Gardner (recruiting affiliates), and Pedro Sostre (design).

The Spider (Revenue’s resident gossip arachnid) has a U.K. bent this time around. There’s a knock on the a4uexpo for touting the event as “the first conference and exhibition dedicated to affiliate marketing to be held in Europe” when it’s taking place a month after Affiliate Summit.

Not to mention being seven years after Affiliate Solutions had their first show in London (April 26, 2000 at the May Fair Inter-Continental).

Others in the Spider’s web include booth babes, the departure of Karen Verelley from LinkShare, and the now expected dig on Overstock CEO, Patrick Byrne.

Paging through the ads, I’m impressed to see that the new DoubleClick Performics logo (just launched a couple weeks ago) made it in.

There’s a full-page ad from Buy.at, the British network that launched in the U.S. recently. Looks like they’re planning to do things big.

The worst ad this time around comes from Venture Direct. It’s got a headline reading “Searching for a meaningful relationship?” with a hand holding a withering 7-Eleven rose. Last time I gave one of those out, it was in college, and she nearly slapped me.

There’s also a cartoon on page 20 that gives me the creeps. It’s illustrating a story about Viacom suing Google over YouTube and it has two weird looking, identical guys throwing spears in the air and recoiling from each other on either side of a 3-inch wide river.

All in all another good read.
