I agree. The dude is a tool. But most of the book cant be based on hip at least I hope not. There is ALOT of reputable names listed so I’m sure it will make up for ian being mentioned…
I was going to look into it untill I seen ian fernando listed. Anything involving or mentioning ian fernando and success = fail. Unless it mentions how much ian fails at success.
They have a maximum of 10 writers that can be listed, and we’ve got 88, so unfortunately we don’t have the option to include everybody.
it would be cool if you added the list of writers to amazon.
I think the reason you don’t recognize the names is because these are the people that work on this stuff every day and don’t brag about it – they’re the doers, rather than the talkers.
And I don’t think anybody on the list would label themselves as a guru – that’s sort of a joke title to anybody that actually works and succeeds in Internet marketing.
I don’t recognize any of those names. Usually I hear names like Yanik Silver, Jeff Johnson, Seth Godin, Derik Gehl just to name a few. However, there are so many of these gurus around that things could get pretty confusing to a beginner marketer. One of the things to look out for is to NOT try to do every thing you read. You need to pick just one or two avenues and stick to them. If you are going to blog, then be the best blogger ever. If you are going to use social media, try to learn all that you can. But, don’t over do it or you’ll get overloaded and find it hard to change directions!
