Inline Ads on YouTube Videos

There has been lots of speculation over how advertising will work for YouTube videos. Most of what I’ve seen has suggested that it will be all about pre-roll and post-roll ads.
But according to a report at NewTeeVee, “YouTube’s New Inline Ads: Screenshots“…
YouTube is experimenting with inline ads, showing a text ad at the bottom of its player as a video is playing. If a user clicks on the text, a video ad expands and appears layered on top of the player.
Liz Gannes includes a bunch of screen grabs of the inline ads in the post.
One thing I noticed, which may or may not mean anything, is that the video in Liz’s example was in letterbox format and the inline ad fit nicely in the bottom where there was no video.
Anyhow, if I were to give affiliates one bit of advice right now, it would be to make video. There’s gold in them thar hills.
