Popshops sounds great. I've been wanting to join for quite sometimes now. Before that I need to know if Popshops is SEO friendly or not.

Thanks and regards.

Angel is right, popshops is an excellent tool that allows you to do things that other merchandisers can't do. I discovered popshops at affiliate summit and is a valuable tool to use for merchandising specific vendors by category. As an Affiliate I am reluctant to roll the dice on the split share of affiliate commission (prefer to be in control of that) so a nice solution. All I needed to do to get started was enter my affiliate id for networks and in about 5 minutes had some grids made for Apple ipods to cut and paste. I am trying the basic version and evaluating conversions and plan to utilize the prmium service they offer. Give it a try!

First off, I want to thank Shawn for the kind mention.

Second, I’m glad to have an opportunity to answer Sandra's post.

Her questions are exactly what every affiliate should ask. GoldenCAN, Cusimano (C3Scripts), Webmerge, and Bounce are all really great tools, and smart users will take advantage of their strengths for different needs. We’re not out to reinvent those particular wheels. Here are some reasons why affiliates would want to use the PopShops toolset:

1) Size. We currently have the largest collection of standardized feeds within the affiliate channel. We are almost at 1000 different feeds with 17 million commissionable products over 5 different networks. The products are browsable by merchant or searchable across the full catalog.

2) Flexibility. We allow PopShops users a variety of ways to take advantage of our tools, including: a) Mixing multiple products from different merchants--regardless of network--in a single showcase; b) Ability to modify product displays like changing colors, fonts, picture size, and picture display on the fly; c) Ability to customize product text descriptions to maximize SEO opportunities; d) Plenty of ways to integrate beyond JavaScript such as PHP, ASP, XML, RSS, CSV, and widgets for blog platforms such as Blogger and Typepad.

3) Advanced Tools. We allow users to manage multiple affiliate IDs and tie them to specific shops. We also have advanced SEO tools to search, append and modify items.

4) We do not take a cut of the revenue stream. Affiliates keep 100% of their commissions.

I’m not claiming that we’re the perfect solution for everyone. One size does not fit all in the affiliate marketplace, so it’s great that users have different tools to choose from. I do think that we’ve put together a pretty compelling toolset, but don't take my word for it. Give it a try. The Basic version is free and our premium service plans have 15-day free trials.

There are all types of programs out there, such as SmartZone, Bounce, C3Scripts, GoldenCan, DataFeeds, Webmerge, and many more JavaScript type interfaces, which in-house affiliate marketing provides.

Please do not take my questions as negative, but what makes Popshop any different or is this yet another option available for user to use.

1. Why is this software any different?

2. How does this software help a site gain an advantage?
