Green Screen for Affiliate Video

I continue to stand by my assertion that video is the next big thing for affiliates. Video has been leveraged well by a handful of network, merchants and affiliates, but I’m still not seeing it too much these days.
Anyhow, there are some relatively cheap tools of the trade that aspiring video affiliates can use to enhance their productions.
One item I would recommend is a green screen. This enables you to film video in front of the green background and then add different stuff behind you to enhance the look of the video.
You can see examples of green screen usage in videos at MarketLeverage TV.
There are lots of vendors selling green screens, and I made the mistake of buying a really big one with a frame the first time around. This ran hundreds of dollars and it was more than I needed.
Recently, I was looking for software to edit photos in front of a green screen, and found a good one called Green Screen Wizard (they have an affiliate program on ShareASale).
They also sell green screens for a nice price, and I got an email yesterday that they are offering a special Christmas deal. For $59, you can get the following:
- A copy of Green Screen Wizard Lite
- 5′ x 7′ Pop-up Screen
- 20 Magazine Covers
- 120 Backgrounds in six collections
I like this green screen a lot better than my bigger one – it folds up in a carrying bag that comes with it, and it’s big enough for most uses.
The picture above is a quick shot I took of my dog and put it against one of their backgrounds. It was really easy to use – I didn’t bother to read the instructions and completed the process in a couple minutes.

Always wanted to get one of those. Let's see a video using it!?
reply to this commentI'll try to make one later this week.
One nice thing about it is that it is taut to the collapsible frame, so there are no wrinkles.
The more expensive one I have just hangs like a curtain and it's hard to keep it from folding up in places, which can stick out on videos.
reply to this commentAccording to the site, they only have it being used with photos, not videos. How does that work. Does Vegas studio support green screens?
reply to this commentHi Jason -
Yeah, the Green Screen Wizard software is just for photos, but their backgrounds could be used with video editing programs.
I've edited video in Sony Vegas with green screen using the 'Chroma Key' effect . Search for Sony Vegas and green screen on YouTube – there are helpful videos there on how to do it (and pretty much anything else you need to do in Sony Vegas.
reply to this commentAwesome! Thanks so much.
reply to this commentThis is a very good affiliate option. I noticed many such articles about affiliate programs and how they work. One of the link is below:-

I could clearly understand the various affiliates.

reply to this commentThanks a lot, Brett. I have Sony Vegas and I've done a little video editing on it with green screen with the chroma key tool.
It seems to be tricky trying to get the right balance without having the person in front of the green screen become partially transparent or the correct coloring.
reply to this commentI've done more chroma key work with Pinnacle than Vegas. In Pinnacle, it does seem to be pretty easy. I'll try and play with Sony more and knowing what I think I know from Pinnacle, see if I can identify any tricks or settings that might make it easier in Vegas.
