Google and Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker have filed suit separately against “Google Money” scammers.
In the case of Google, they filed suit against Pacific WebWorks and several other unnamed defendants for using Google’s name or logo with offers that sounded too good to be true.
Some names Google says to be wary of are Google Adwork, Google ATM, Google Biz Kit, Google Cash, Earn Google Cash Kit, Google Fortune, Google Marketing Kit, Google Profits, The Home Business Kit for Google, Google StartUp Kit, and Google Works.
Also, Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker has filed suit against David Sullivan, individually and d/b/a Big Blue Dots, for copyright infringement and other “causes of action”. According to the complaint, the defendent used Schoemaker’s “Adsense check for 132,994.97″ copyrighted photo without permission for commercial gain.

This is one of the biggest scams to come over the internet in years. I got scammed by a company called blogging4cashtoday.com and they were supposed to only charge me $3.00 for information…little did I know in the fine print and disclaimer was a sentence that said if you didn’t cancel within 14 days they would charge you a total of $75.00. I did not see this and when my next credit bill came I was charged $74.98 and a $2.24 foreign transaction fee..which means that this is an off shore company. So, I called them, and I cancelled, but they would not credit my account for the $74.98. I was so upset and they were adement. My credit card company said they cannot do a charge back right now, but next month if they charge me again, they will charge back the amount. They are notorious criminals and they should be stopped. They are using the name Google as a bait to sign up people, and because of trust of Google they do not read the fine print. I am of the understanding that Google is suing many companies for the illegal use of their trademark name, but in the meantime thousands of unsuspecting people have been scammed by this company and many others. I am outraged that this is happening in these difficult times when people have lost their jobs and are in dire straits financially..it is a disgrace. I called the FTC and made an official complaint and the FTC opened up a case on this particular on line company. They are horrible people. If you have been scammed by them, call them and cancel and ask for a cancellation number and a person you spoke to. I am also working with my credit card company to place a stop or a block on any of these companies or if there is a charge to my account to notify me immediately. Beware people…they work with foreign accounts and are hard to trace, so examine your charge account bills very carefully. Call the FTC if you think you have been scammed at 1=877-438-4338 and file a complaint. Also Google, you should have people surfing the internet to try to find scammers using your name. It is imperative that you do this…and another thing, READ THE FINE PRINT. Very important..keep records and dates and be dilligent.
In this case, the picture clearly shows (in the bigger versions - http://www.shoemoney.com/gallery/v/misc/adsensecheck.jpg.html) that it’s a check issued by Google – the checks people get for Google AdSense.
Let me also just say that I think anyone that would post a check like that in the first place would immediately be put on my suspicious list…since that check could have been for anything, and totally unrelated to the reason it was posted originally. So shame on the defendent and shame on the plaintiff.
I think it is about time to start nailing these scammers. They are everywhere. I see the site mentioned is pulling up a blank page so at least he is running for his life. Scamming is way up now because of the economy. I’m often intrigued how most of it seems to go unnoticed or allowed to continue by authorities such as the FTC.
