GeekCast comes early this week, since Lisa Picarille and Shawn Collins will be at the LinkShare Symposium on Tuesday, so they joined Jim Kukral and Sam Harrelson for a very special episode 24, where predictions were made for the winners of each LinkShare Golden Link Award.
This installment kicked off with talk about Shel Israel getting dumped by FastCompany and how it turned out that he wasn’t in cahoots with Loren Feldman on it.
Then there was some very scientific and objective chatter about the winners of the LinkShare Golden Link Awards. The GeekCaster with the most correct picks gets a free night at the bar on the tab of the three losers (or a sponsor if somebody wants a piece of this exciting exposure opportunity).

The gang dug into the latest, mission critical information on social media from Jeff Molander, as well as guesses on the fate of the Performance Marketing Alliance.
And then some discussion on the new site, MyMotivatr, a tool where you can create your own motivational poster.

Riding the social media bandwagon a bit more, Spock, FriendFeed and using Yahoo Pipes got some time, as well as trying to control the results for searches on Google Images.
And then some talk on whether it makes sense to fully launch Google Universal Search, since the images and videos displaying for so many queries are not on target for businesses.
GeekCast rounds up with talk of the Spore video game, anticipate of the new iPhone and Blackberry Bold, and the folly of George Michie from the Rimm-Kaufman Group, who proudly proclaims he “has been (and remains today) highly critical of the affiliate channel”, moderating a panel on affiliate marketing at the Internet Retailer conference.
Listen to the end for information on claiming exciting prizes.
