The FTC has set forth new rules that could have a significant impact on email practices for affiliate marketers.

Davis & Gilbert LLP has published a new document, Advertising, Marketing and Promotions Alert: FTC Approves New Rule Provisions Under The Can-Spam Act that helps clarify the new rules.

The Federal Trade Commission announced these new rules on May 12, 2008, and they are set to go into effect go into effect on July 7th, 2008.
