JJ good to hear from you again. I just shot you an email. Lets catch up this week on the phone. I agree with you completely.
I don’t think that there is really a negative stigma with affiliate marketing, I think that the problem is people don’t understand it as much as some people do. There needs to be more help or tutorial for the beginners!!
I have a monetized blog and I have only been blogging for a full year now. I think that affiliate marketing is great I only wish that there was more help for the newbies there is a lot to this affiliate marketing and one can read all about it and still not get the whole deal. There should be more help out there for the beginner!! I get tons of emails asking me all about what is affiliate marketing which company to go with and how does it really work.
Seems like the blogs that monetize the best are internet marketing blogs like Johnchow.com, and perhaps this one. But I don’t see any reason why blogs in the relationship and self-improvement niches can monetize, too. Blogging is basically publishing content, just like a newspaper; so readers should expect advertising.
I have actually being going after blogs for years. It’s amazing the lack of awareness with bloggers regarding affiliate marketing. There is still a negative stigma about affiliate marketing with some webmaster and bloggers…something to overcome.
Your Message@Evan:
Thanks Evan – blogs are the new frontier for affiliate programs. Still so many bloggers running AdSense only or nothing.
