I am always interested in seeing uncommon ways to market affiliate links, and one example I came across today is a Domain Lookup Firefox extension.

Not only is this a very useful tool for domain junkies, as the extension enables users to perform one click domain searches through their registrar of choice using selected text in their browser window, but it’s a great place to work in affiliate links.

Domain Lookup Firefox Extension

This Firefox extension currently works for 1&1, 123reg, DirectNic, DomainDiscover, Dotster, eNom, Fabulous, GoDaddy, Melbourne IT, Moniker, Register.com, NameCheap, NameScout, Network Solutions, UKReg, and UK2.

Shawn I blogged about this earlier today as it pertains to finding keyword domains and Richard just emailed me about it.

I can’t figure out what you mean when you say “Affiliate Link Distribution” and but it’s a great place to work in affiliate links. I don’t see how that ties in. What am I missing?

    Hi Linda -

For instance, when somebody searches through Moniker with this tool, it’s Richard’s affiliate link.

Oh got it. I thought you were saying affiliates could use this extension to drop links somehow.

Now I see what you mean what angle you were coming from.
