I had to call in sick for Affiliate Thing this week, and Sam Harrelson subbed for me. Sam and Lisa Picarille welcomed Greg Hoffman, Affiliate Network Director at Think Partnership aka the Donut Guy.
They chatted with Greg about his creative method for getting noticed (he sent donuts to the person hiring for his position) and if he plans to bring that level of creativity to dealing with affiliates.
Thank you to Greg for sending a special shipment of Krispy Kremes my way before the show. Unfortunately, I was on a stomach flu diet of Gatorade yesterday, so I could only look at them.
Sam and Lisa also touched on the class action lawsuit filed by affiliates and merchants against Commission Junction, Be free and ValueClick, how Google is getting creepy, the Apple iPhone, and new eBay programs.

Sorry you were sick yesterday. I hope someone in your house enjoyed the doughnuts. They were actually courtesy of Krispy Kreme. Their PR firm found out that I used the wrong doughnuts in my resume trick and they offered to send doughnuts help correct the problem. So you and Lisa received doughnuts and Rachel Honoway finally got some doughnuts.
Thanks for the opportunity to be on the show, it was fun talking with Lisa and Sam. Though, I was a bit nervous.
