Dell Customer Advisory Panel Days Reunion

by on July 21, 2011

Dell invited a dozen or so customers, including me, this week for the Dell Customer Advisory Panel (Dell CAP Days) at their headquarters in Round Rock, TX.

This was a reunion of the inaugural Dell CAP Days, which took place in June 2010.

The folks invited were customers active in social media from across the United States, and the day was focused on conversations and interactive panels between the customers and Dell executives and employees.

During the Dell CAP Days Reunion, we got an update on Dell’s transformation and their response to comments from a year ago.

The progress was summarized in a video about how they’ve addressed the issues.

We also heard about product development improvements and what’s coming, as well as a tour of the Social Media Listening Command Center.

The highlight for me was when we had a chance to chat with Dell Founder and CEO, Michael Dell. It was really impressive to see how invested and supportive he is of the initiative to listen and act on things.

There were visual notes taken throughout the day by artist Stacy Weitzner – I love that concept of capturing the conversation.
