Copyright Protection for Affiliate Content

by on May 14, 2007

I’ve written a lot of content over the years, and I’m always irritated to fond that some scraper creep has taken it as their own.

More often than not, they are appropriating my content for SEO purposes and AdSense revenue.

Anyhow, it’s fine with me if people reprint my content, so long as it is on my terms. I require little things like giving me credit as the author.

It’s been a frustrating game of cat and mouse to find content thieves and try to get the content attributed or taken down.

So I was very interested and excited when I came across a post on the Lorelle on WordPress blog, “What Do You Do When Someone Steals Your Content.”

Great information and resources there that I would recommend to any affiliate who is churning out original content.

Thanks for the link and I’m thrilled that the issue of copyright protection has entered your head. It’s critical that everyone play fair on the net. If we work together, we can protect our work while encouraging others who want to BUY our work for reprinting to help us make money, with our permission, as well as help them make money. Writing is work and deserves fair pay. Writing and photography are jobs in which too many think it’s okay to steal your work. They don’t think so for other jobs. Sad.

So thanks for spreading the word.
