I collected responses for a completely unscientific poll over Twitter last week where I asked the question, “Affiliate marketers – were you in a Greek Letter Organization in college?”

UK Affiliate Marketing to Generate £4 Billion in 2009

Affiliate marketing in the UK will be worth more than £4 billion in online retail sales in 2009, according to a new report from Econsultancy.

Econsultancy has launched their US Affiliate Census report, in association with MediaTrust.
Nearly 500 US-based affiliates were surveyed for the affiliate census, the ongoing aim of which is to shed more light on an industry that drives billions of dollars in online sales annually.

Results from the 2009 UK Affiliate Census

Econsultancy has launched the second affiliate census report, in association with Affiliate Window.
More than 1,000 UK-based affiliates were surveyed for the affiliate census, and 34% described themselves as full-time affiliates, while 46% stated they were part-time affiliates, and 20% said they were “hobbyists”.
