Buy.com has partnered with ToldYa! to provide affiliates with “interactive video widgets.”
They are offering 16 different widgets to choose from including; Top Selling Cameras, Top 10 DVDs, Top 10 Games, Top 10 Music, Top Selling Laptops, Top Selling Monitors, Today’s Deals, and Main Page Featured Products.

The visitors to affiliate sites can search for a specific product with the Buy.com search box on the top of the widget and use the drop-down menu to look up specific product categories.
It’s a nice looking piece of creative, but I’m not clear on why it’s a “video” widget. More like a slide show. But still something worth testing.
Visit http://www.toldya.com/widget_buy.php?aid=10501147 and enter your Buy.com PID to create one of the widgets.

I was interested in looking at this, but the URL isn’t working
Hi Deborah,
Toldya makes custom widgets for large advertisers. One of our Advertisers is in fact a large Real Estate website. The widget we have in development will be a way for buyers to search for listings that ultimately lead them to a page at the Advertisers site.
Think of a widget as a mini website, anything you can dream up is possible. It just takes time, money and desire to build.
Hi Deborah -
That’s not really a question with a short answer.
However, there are lots of affiliate programs related to real estate.
I’d suggest searching for something like real estate affiliate on Google.
If you’d like a background on affiliate marketing, you can see free videos from all of the sessions at Affiliate Summit 2007 East at http://www.ase07.com
Is there a way this would be helpful for the Real Estate business? How could Realtors benefit from a widget or affiliate marketing.
Thanks!
Hi Shawn,
We started with YouTube and plan to add additional sites that our users request. We believe this feature is as important as our syndication capabilities since video makes a widget a thousand times more interesting and or entertaining.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks Michael -
Can videos from other sources, like Revver, Blip and Brightcove work, or just YouTube?
First off thanks for the post. The buy.com widget supports audio and video, its just that the current widgets have not had any assigned (yet). Interestingly, they are setup so that a publisher can create an account at Toldya and attach any video they want to it. In fact you can simply grab a youtube video url and assign it to your widget. In the next few days you should see some buy.tv videos automatically assigned to the widgets from this page.
We suggest creating an account at Toldya where you can get all sorts of stats and access to other widgets.
