I met up with Brook Schaaf of Schaaf Consulting at the Affiliate Summit booth at ad:tech 2007 San Francisco and I asked him what he’s doing with video and affiliates, as well as Affiliate Dinner.

Here’s what Brook had to say about video and affiliates…

We’ve been experimenting with Web Video Zone. One of our clients, Dermacia.com, does a lot of television advertising, so they have short commercials cut.

We have a two-minute commercial right now that we’re preparing. this will be a hosted commercial where the affiliates can go to a link, enter their affiliate PID, and get an embedded code, so that when anyway clicks through the commercial after watching it, the affiliate will get credit for the sale.

On the topic of Affiliate Dinner…

We’re planning a great dinner on the Saturday before Affiliate Summit. There will be a special guest of honor: Missy Ward. We look forward to seeing everybody there.
