AzoogleAds.com Under Investigation by Florida Attorney General

by on March 21, 2007

The Office of the Attorney General of Florida, Economic Crimes Division, has launched an investigation of AzoogleAds.com.

According to the Florida Attorney General’s site, Case Number: L07-3-1044 was opened to investigate AzoogleAds.com for the allegation of…

Unfair and deceptive trade practices regarding online ringtone offers in violation of Chapter 501, Part II, Florida Statues.

The case file relates to a civil, not criminal, investigation. Also, note that the existence of an investigation does not constitute proof of any violation of law.

The Office of the Attorney General for the State of Florida was asking around about affiliate ringtone scams last month. Looks like they came up with some compelling information.

The outcome of this investigation could have a significant impact on many players in affiliate marketing.

It is good to hear that everything is okay. These guys will find anyway to hate on the affiliate marketers. Obviously jealous of the income, and ability to make money without ‘working’. Go on with your bad self AzoogleAds.

AzoogleAds are already out of the accusations. So you guys don't stay worried. Things are quite ok now.

I hope it ends well for Azoogleads. So far I am quite satisfied with their performance, and I have never heard of them violating any law.

That's quite a bad news for publishers like me. I personally have not found them doing anything illegal. Hope they are out of it safe.

Jonah -

I am not clear how your question relates to ringtones, but I would suggest you consult the dating site you reference or AzoogleAds.

“How” does this Relate to the “Mature Singles” Dating Site that “claims” affiliation with azoogleads.com ???? E-Mail ‘response’ (?) to: jonahage54@gmail.com.

yikes, is this for real ? that’s explain wht majority of my friends stop promoting ringtones

It’s been fun to watch your discussion of this Florida thing over the pst month, Shawn. Thanks for sticking to the focus over at TW, despite the “challenges”.

I wonder what this might mean for afffiliates who cashed in on the allegedly deceptive ringtones campaigns in ’04-’05. If there is a judgement, does it follow the money?
