Amazon has added a couple new options to their already feature-rich affiliate program: Author Stores and Blog Widgets.
The Amazon Author Stores, which are in Beta, enable your visitors a unique way to browse and shop favorite authors, discover new books, etc.
Each Author Store includes a bibliography, and may include a biography, author photo, and discussion board. Customers can also find products related to the author, such as DVDs, CDs, and much more.
And if you’re looking for some content for your site(s), the new Amazon Blogs Widget will enable you to pull content from Amazon Blogs ranging from books, music, movies and gadgets to toys, pets, food and cars provided by their experts.

The blog widget is interesting for people looking to add a quick rss feed of blog content about books. Personally, I'd rather see an RSS feed of reviews of individual products from Amazon.
I suspect this will never the less be useful on sites where the site owner has little original content, but for sites that do have original content I think this could actually be a detractor.
