According is going to launch a new online payment service to rival PayPal and Google Checkout, according to TechCrunch.
Look for a launch announcement by Amazon this week or next of a new web service around payments, adding to their S3 (storage), EC2 (virtual server) and other services. They’ve been quietly testing the service, which will compete with PayPal and Google Checkout, for a few weeks. It is an extension of the existing Amazon Payments, which allows third parties selling items on Amazon’s extended network to receive payments from buyers.
I’d imagine that this will be an Amazon affiliate commission option down the road, and perhaps something they’ll open for other merchants to pay commission.

Google checkout is great only see the issue while calculate shipping with UPS and server call back time is only 3 sec.

Hey there! Aaron here from FreshBooks. Just thought I’d pop in and mention we’re one of the select few companies who worked with Amazon through the private beta to get integration going in our service. It’s an online invoicing product, and it’s also got a referral mechanism; we pay 25% of an account’s monthly fees to their referrer. So once both of these services get going, referring both of them could be a fantastic double-whammy for revenues. They’ll fit together perfectly.
Our thoughts are here:

Can’t wait to see this thing get started! Judging by those low fees, this thing’s going to be big.
