Amazon Affiliate Program Introduces Rotating Banner Campaigns

by on December 9, 2009

The Amazon affiliate program has introduced Rotating Banner Campaigns available in three standard sizes (300×250, 160×600, 728×90).

Their Rotating Banner Campaigns allow multiple banner ads to rotate within the same placement on affiliate pages, and Amazon will use performance data from the banners to increase the displays of the best performing creatives.

There are currently two themes try out: Electronics, and Music & Entertainment.

More details at https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/build-links/banner/main.html.

I think this is a good option for affiliates looking for a simple fix to rotate some banners, but I’d suggest using an ad server like Google Ad Manager or OpenX (that’s what I use) to run campaigns from many affiliate programs in the same spot.

Also, any affiliate running sites on WordPress should check out the Max Banner Ads plugin for a quick and easy ad rotation setup.
