Affiliate Voice is a new movement born of affiliate marketers, led by Haiko de Poel, Jr. of ABestWeb. The group is a different take on an industry association from that of the recently formed Performance Marketing Alliance (PMA).
In announcing the structure of Affiliate Voice, Haiko stated…
“Please before anyone thinks I’m marginalizing or in any other way lessening the efforts of the fine people at the PMA or it’s formation – I’m not.
As I’ve said I don’t agree with their structure, their non transparency, nor many other aspects, but I do support the need for an association. So instead of continuing to get left handed answers and waiting for the other shoe to drop, I’ve decided to act instead of complaining or reacting to what they will do with our industry. Hopefully our goals and will by symbiotic and we can work in tandem to make the right changes within the industry and for the right reasons.
Rule #1 you can’t have affiliate marketing, without affiliates.

This group is more affiliate centric than the PMA. Hopefully, as Haiko posted, the two groups “can work in tandem to make the right changes within the industry and for the right reasons.”

I think that it is a good idea and nothing that conflicts in any way with PMA. Both serve different purposes. As a matter of fact, I'd say that having something like Affiliate Voice would be beneficial for Affiliate Networks (once they got over themselves) , OPMs and AMs.
