Camouflage Your Links

Do you want to disguise your affiliate links? Some people don’t like to click on an affiliate link, because they think the page was created as a thinly veiled attempt to drive targeted traffic to an affiliate link. When they see an affiliate link on your site, as opposed to an altruistic link that does not generate revenue, it might take away credibility from the site.

Don’t take that risk - you can easily camouflage your links by adding some simple code. With this trick, the affiliate linking code will not appear in the ’status’ text that displays at the bottom of your Web browser. Rather, any URL that you wish to display will appear in the ‘Status’ area.

The code for this trick is:

<a href="http://www.affiliate-link.com/" target="_top" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.company-name.com’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=’ ‘;return true;">Shop at Company Name!</a>

Just replace http://www.affiliate-link.com/ with your affiliate link, and http://www.company-name.com with the main URL for the site where you are sending traffic.
