The May 21, 2008 episode of Affiliate Thing kicked off with a discussion on Overstock kicking out all of their New York affiliates.

I’ve got to wonder if this will be something of a “grubby little affiliate” incident for Overstock - something that mobilizes affiliate sentiment against Overstock for a long while.

Lisa Picarille and I also talked about how affiliate networks are reacting to the upcoming “affiliate tax,” a new magazine from Affiliate Summit called FeedFront, some Affiliate Karma from Stephanie Agresta, mobile marketing stats.

Also, we chatted about how Charming Shoppes stepped up and did right by affiliates, Lisa’s 12 hour phone odyssey, and Epic Advertising rolling out a new metric.
