Affiliate Marketers Walk All Over Breast Cancer
A group of affiliate marketers, dubbed Team Affiliate Marketers Worldwide, completed the 2008 Seattle Breast Cancer 3-Day/60-Mile Walk this past weekend and raised over $47,000 in the process.
Team Captain, Missy Ward, came in as the #4 highest fundraiser for the Seattle walk with over $20,000 in funds raised herself.
The other members of Team Affiliate Marketers Worldwide were Jen Goode (JGoodeDesigns.com), Angel Djambazov (JonesSoda.com and PopShops.com), Lisa Riolo, Laura Przybek (buy.at), Debby Banning and Jen Fluker (MarketLeverage.com), Adam Riemer (DowntownEcommerce.com), Karen Garcia (GTOManagement.com), and Irene and Tiffany Spaulding (TiffanySpauldingDesigns.com).
Overall, more than $8.6 Million was raised by over 3,000 walkers for the walk in Seattle, which will help the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

Eighty-five percent of the proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3-Day go directly to breast cancer research, education, and community health programs.

As she was about halfway through the walk, Missy Ward fractured her foot, but still walked the balance of the 30 miles on it. That act of valor and stubbornness has earned her 5-7 weeks with a cast and crutches.
Thanks and congratulations to all of the affiliate marketing walkers for their time, foot injuries, etc. to benefit this great cause.
