It’s getting colder outside, so I don’t know how much longer I can go for long walks to get exercise and catch up on marketing podcasts. I think I’ll set a rule of walking whenever the temperature is above freezing.

Anyhow, that means it is time to join a gym.

Then I’ll be able to get up on the elliptical, treadmill, etc. as it turns cold around here.

So I went and joined the local gym yesterday. The good thing is that I can go there during the middle of the day with my random affiliate schedule.

When I signed up, it was around noon yesterday and maybe five people were in the place. When I’ve passed by around 6 or 7 at night, the gym was packed.

On another note, I found out that if I go a certain number of times per month to the gym, my health insurance plan will cover the gym cost - nice incentive to keep a regular schedule of exercising.

Also, I’ve had some affiliates ask the status on my comment last week that Weight Watchers had not yet reviewed my affiliate application.

Another week and my application is still pending with them. Wake up over there - you shouldn’t be sitting on applications for weeks. Especially since affiliates will want to construct campaigns around diets as we approach the new year.

All that aside, I’m happy with my continued progress using the Weight Watchers Core plan. I’ve lost another couple pounds in the past week. So, I’m about 24% to my goal, which I want to achieve no later than the first day of Affiliate Summit (February 24, 2008).

Starting weight: 216
Current weight: 211
Target weight: 195

So what is the added cost of your diet to your bottom line? Is it more expensive to buy healthy food or is it cheaper? I’m just curious on what this will cost you and if it is minimal. (probably worth the cost long term when we talk about medical expenses if you keep an extra 20 lbs for 20 years).

    Thanks!

Not really any added cost, because now I’m eating the same things as the rest of my family, so there is less waste.

I’m largely eating lean meats, fruits, and vegetables.

One financial benefit is that I can get a more favorable rate for life insurance with a lower weight.
