I am into my first week of using the Weight Watchers Core Plan. So far, I like it a lot. It’s the same plan my wife is using, so it’s making dinners easier.
I’ve been eating lots of chicken, fruits, and veggies… things I like anyway, and that’s keeping me satiated.
And so far the scale is heading in the right direction. I started out at 216 for this whole thing, and currently I’m at 213.
However, that was pre-Thanksgiving, so it could have taken a little hit with the biscuits, stuffing, gravy, etc.
Now it’s time for some penance. I need to up the efforts for walking and general exercising. Good thing Danny Sullivan has the Daily SearchCast podcasts back on a regular schedule, because I was getting bored of audio books.
I prefer podcasts when I’m walking or on the elliptical machine.
I see there is another Ten Golden Rules podcast up, after a couple weeks of radio silence. The Video Ninjas have been good for regularly recording their shows, but that’s just one show a week.
Cool - there is also a new show from Fraser Edwards on Fraser’s Affiliate Marketing Blog out of the UK. The first new podcast in two months from him, but I’ll cut some slack, since he has a new baby.
Anyhow, I am enjoying Weight Watchers. I think the Core Plan is something that can be a real lifestyle with eating healthy, real foods.
This is in contrast to some things I’ve tried in the past with crazy plans or pre-packaged foods. I can’t really see sustaining those sorts of diets for months or years.
One downside for Weight Watchers is that I applied about a month or so for their affiliate program, and I was rejected.
I re-applied last week, and also sent them a note through the CJ mailing system, where I asked them to reconsider my application.
A week has passed and there has been no response. Nothing for the message I sent and the application has neither been approved nor denied.
I’ll be talking about Weight Watchers anyway, but it would be nice if I could use some affiliate links.
Starting weight: 216
Current weight: 213

Thanks for the link Shawn - can’t believe it’s been a full two months since I last published an episode! Time flies when you don’t sleep at night
Anyway I hope to get back on track now so you get to hear my voice more often while walking!

Now that’s what I call marketing!
Great job, man. People need to learn from you.
Instead of just skating by, you’re actually using the product you want to push. Or perhaps it’s the other way around? Either way, it’s brilliant.
Glad I found this blog. I’ll check back later.
