Affiliate Ads in Chain Letters

Q: Is anyone making money with those forwarded emails everyone gets? The ones that either have a long list of funny pictures, or the ones that say send this to 30 people or you’ll have bad luck? All of those emails seem to have an ad on the bottom. How do I start one of those to make money?

A: First off, I rarely see any of those sorts of emails, because anybody that sends that type of email to me gets blocked for the future.

I can’t stand those emails. I hate chain letters an I really hate hoax emails that could easily be debunked by checking snopes.com before forwarding.

Anyway, as far as monetizing those emails, I would implore you to not increase the amount of garbage that is already out there.

I would guess that any ads you see are from Hotmail or other free email services.

I am not aware of anybody directly monetizing that junk, and I definitely would not encourage it.

Just create your own original content, rather than cribbing the litter of others.

I was wondering about this same question myself. I get so much “junk” like that from relatives, I was thinking that it might be profitable, to attach an affiliate piece to it. It’s a good thing I didn’t start.

    Thanks for the info.

“Just create your own original content, rather than cribbing the litter of others.”

That is a mantra people can apply to every aspect of their lives.
