AdMob Mobile Affiliate Network Revises Pricing
AdMob is working on improving performance for their advertisers and publishers via fee adjustments, which went into effect on December 5, 2007.
In some cases, they are raising minimum bids for advertising, and in others they are lowering minimum bids in order to maximize market efficiencies.
AdMob state that “minimum bid increases in the following circumstances help to increase the likelihood that advertisers bidding on this inventory will acquire their desired impressions”:
- Worldwide Run of Network (targeting not included) will increase from $0.02 to $0.03
- US, CA & UK will increase to $.10 for the US & CA and $0.20 for the UK
- Some countries in the EU will now range between $0.05 – $.10
And minimum bids will be lowered in most countries outside of the EU & North America to $.03 to encourage market growth.
Additionally, targeting fees will be changing. Previously targeting fees were based upon the dynamics of the global network.
Targeting fees will be based upon inventory targeted per country and included in the minimum bid price from now on.
Any new ads created on or after December 5, 2007 will reflect this new pricing structure. Existing ads will continue to reflect current bid pricing until edited, at which time new pricing will take effect.
