10 Most Influential Affiliate Marketers on Twitter

by on September 1, 2010

I noticed that I am listed as the most influential affiliate marketer on Twitter, according to WeFollow.com, though I have no idea how they determine influence.

Most influential affiliate marketer on Twitter

Anyhow, I thought I’d share the current list of the top 10, so you can find some affiliate marketers to follow on Twitter.

  1. affiliatetip
  2. MissyWard
  3. matthewwood
  4. AffWin
  5. a4uexpo
  6. mediatrustpete
  7. affbuzz
  8. JoaquinPena
  9. sugarrae
  10. jangro

They also sort affiliate marketing by most followers. It’s a largely different list, so they apparently don’t equate followers with influence.

I follow those first two. They seem to tweet a lot about the Yankees. :)

I was just there (Yankee Stadium) yesterday. :)

I made a sloppy research for you… it’s apparently a very complicated formula as shown by this article:

Seriously though, thanks for the work you’ved put in your website.

Thanks Patrick

Clearly they don’t incorporate “Favorite Baseball Team” into the rankings. What with you and Jangro on the list.

Seriously though, congrats to all. It’s always nice to see your name in lights.

There could be a baseball connection here – I think the Yankees will have the best record in baseball this year, and the Sox might end up with the 10th best record.

Ah. That puts me dead last. Go Buccos! And I’m apparently completely non-influential on the road….

They may be relying on Klout Score, or some similar externally-calculated metric. Just asked them about this on Twitter. Will see what they reply.

Good list, Shawn! And grats on being ranked “the most influential” of our tribe!! :)

Thanks Geno

That’s Great. Maybe the influence is calculated by no. of times people retweet your messages.

Shawn Collins September 1, 2010 at 1:28 pm

Thank you Harshad – I looked around and couldn’t find how they do it.
